Richard Dodwell – Benefactor of Oddington

From Jackson’s Oxford Journal of 27th December 1856

SEASONAL BENEVOLENCE – Mr R. Dodwell, of Oddington, has this week given four fat sheep; a quantity of beef and 60 loaves of bread, with fire-wood, to the poor of Oddington, and the poor widows and widowers of Charlton-on-Otmoor.
