Inscription on stone forming part of the floor in the chancel of St. Andrew’s:-
JANE
Daughter of Mr Wm Wright of Oxford, Gold
Smith. Wife of Tho. Dickinson, Rector of the
Parish; By whom he had four Children, JANE,
Wm., Catherine & Lydia. She Departed May
5th in ye 36th year of her Age & and of our Lord 1733
She
was a dutiful Daughter, a good Wife, a loving
Mother. She was discreet, sincere, courteous &
Obliging: Her mind being endued with all the
virtues that adorn the Sex. Beloved while living
and when removed lamented by all who knew
her: Her Parents and her dear Sister, sadly
laid to heart their great Loss, but ye greater
was to her Husband, and their young children
